let me take stock of the week that was.
saturday - watched my favourite boys Paranoid Earthling play after many months.
sunday/monday - studied for the paper on tuesday
tuesday - left home for the paper to realize road was closed for an hour due to Parliament and not at the usual time. frantic phone call to the paternal parental unit ensured i got to faculty on time.
wednesday - woke up with a slight cold. no worries, kept studying for the papers on thursday and friday. said cold built up to be the mother of all colds and by evening fever at 102 and flu at full force. blood test, tablets, suppositories, the works.
thursday - sleepless and restless night battling the flu. too spent to go for the paper. go to hospital instead and get a medical certificate, optimistically croaking "only for today. i'm somehow going for tomorrow's paper". by midnight, endless bouts of vomiting. think i threw up things i ate last year.
friday - another sleepless night and without any prior discussion, everyone seemed to have come to the conclusion that no exam'ing was to happen today either. more vomiting and the patient had to demand an injection because for some reason the resident doctor (the aforementioned paternal parental unit) just didn't think of it. so a shot to the thigh it was and then another blood test. there's a saline contraption ready for use but given that i've found strength to type this out, don't think i'll be needing it.
so that was my week. and i thought three papers in one week was going to be the worst part about it. can you blame me for being cynical?
off to bed to rest again. lets hope i recover in time for next week's paper.

hope by now you are feeling better. it's a shame about the exams. horrible to have to study again ha?
Sound grim. As annoying as it may sound this too will pass and you will emerge stronger.

thanks guys. still pretty weak but facing the next paper tomorrow so trying to put on a brave front. and i wouldn't be surprised if my grandma isn't already pestering my mother to check my horror-scope!
